OK, I am about to order the parts to upgrade to the '97+ side cladding.
Does anyone know if the small plastic strip that runs along the bottom of the door is the same on the '97 as was on the '95?
It looks wider and I am not sure if this part comes with the side skirts or if it must be ordered seperate. (assuming it is different between 95/97+ models)
Of course the Lexus dealerships have no clue
Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks...

Well... I know those guys (Carson Toyota) are great but I have had a heck of a time getting in contact with them.
I will keep trying though. Gordon did fax me a form so I could call out the part numbers I need because he was not sure what all was necessary for the upgrade since I am doing the rear cladding and bumper as well. But every time I have called back they have been very busy and I hate voicemail.

Well... Finally was able to touch base with Gordon.
They are busy because they are the best!
Carson is about $150.00 cheaper for the whole upgrade than parts.com which is already cheaper than dearlership prices.
Example: '97+ tail light
Dealership - $210
parts.com - $180
Carson Toyota - $163
Shipping adds a little. About $30 to $40 bucks but still a great deal.
Kewl...

In case Gordon didn't tell you already, the lower door trim IS different. Please post the part numbers and pricing for the skirts, lower door trim, clips, seals, etc. when you get a chance, i'm sure others on here would appreciate it, especially since it's so hard to get a hold of the guys @ Carson. When I did my front update Steve was a little less busy and had some time to go over part numbers with me.

Well the part numbers on the fax containing the parts diagram are too small to reliably make out.
But... here are some diagrams I found. Hopefully this helps.
BTW, I have no clue what item 1 is on the side cladding pic.

Hey Din... Actually I am having this upgrade done while the car is in the shop. The left front-end has some damage so the insurance is paying for the front bumper since the 95/97+ are exactly the same price. I am going to get the grill and foglights seperately.
I think the price for the front bumper is less than $300 but not sure. The fog lights are $114 each and the grill is roughly $85 from Carson Toyota which again is the best price I have seen on those parts.
The Houston dealerships are all too proud of their parts to give any kind of discount.

Right now it is 100% stock.
I am thinking about upgrading to some 17x8" rims if I can find some I like.
Also may lower the body just a bit with eibach springs... maybe.
The stock speakers also need to go but I will probably leave everything else.
Now if a practical way of super/turbocharging comes along, that would be first on my list. I would love to surprise some poor unsuspecting Mustang/Camaro.
