Default Fiber Optic Lighting

I really like the idea of fiber optic lighting in a car. Like a limo. Ive never been in a limo before though. But http://www.bendalite.com/index.cfm/i...Site_Index.htm might be selling the things we need to make this work. Any ideas?

Alternative lighting is all the rage in the Midwest and South. Neons, fiber optics, and LEDs are put on the undercarriage, behind the wheels, under the hood, inside the car, trunk, around the license plate, and even on the wiper sprays. Hell they even have glowing red exhaust tips now...

Different different car cultures in different regions I guess, but you'll almost never see that stuff in the West unless someone just moved here from back east. Just curious, but where did you want to put these fiber optics?

I wanted to put them along the outer floorline and/or the top rooflife from the inside.

Thumbs up Grooooooooooooooooovey.... Man!!!

I'm convince, we have a 70's retro member!
Sorry dude, you should consider looking to another car to support the disco era.
But consider this......
You might be able to convert the rear seat area into a dance floor and hang a disco ball from the headliner.........
Flip down your glove box for a mini bar.........
And change out your stereo for an 8-track cassette player!
(Do they still make an 8-track deck for our Lex???)
Darn......, because Saturday Night Fever by the BeeGees could set the mood to attract the Puchie girls, while you cruise in your Getto car with plush shagged seat covers!!!

Neon can look decent if the actual tubes are not visible. One GS member here has an crazy neon setup in his interior. Some would say that using the neon is ricey & outlandish, but there are cases in which you can make it look nice

Here's the GS I mentioned:

neons arn't that bad.. its a younger generation thing. all those old timers don't like them, however young girls dig it and it makes guys jealous. So far i have had lots of compliments on my underbody's from teens and people up into their mid 20's. when i was going into the marble slab(ice cream place) last week a pretty fine looking girl who was like 23ish said they were really awesome and that they were great looking. She hadn't seen them before, she was clean cut and very mature. So don't let these oldies(no offence) tell you neons suck, just don't go overboard. Like others have said, hide the bulbs(especially in the interior)- except on the underbody's let your side ones show cuz it looks awesome.

oh and don't put on neons until you get some nice rims. neons don't look good on stock cars, thats ghetto

Sorry, but getting "ohhh" from some "chick" isn't really worth a **** in my book...

All that "alternative lighting" is like an "alternative lifestyle" if you know what I mean (IT'S GAY).

I was cool for like 10 seconds...now it's just lame....young or old.

DO REAL MODS...not gay mods.

hahaha...you just made my day...hahahaha

i think if you wanna put neons on your car, go ahead. i guess the young general public like this crap. just know that there will still be many rolling their eyes or shaking their heads when you cruise by. but if you feel cool doing it, go ahead.

I'll I can think of is thank god that these guys can't afford to defile a Ferrari....

I'm not sure if it is an age or a location thing. But, just remember there are ALOT of things you will do before your thirty, that you will look back on as an adult and say....."what the hell was I thinking?...damn, that was stupid"
