Beat me to it...looks good though. +1 for vids.

Any plans on swapping to a 5/6-speed, or sticking with the auto trans?

i had to swap the alternator bracket with one from a company called kwik performance, cleared the strut tower by 3/4 of an inch

im putting a b&m hammer shifter which is a ratcheting shifter for dragracing

thats what were using this car for. althought it probably will go sideways pretty easy as well

love how your going a diffrent rout and not sticking with a 2j

although sometime in the back of my mind i feel like it kind of beats the purpose of having that car/ motor.

Is it necessary to have that high mount alternator ? Or is it because like all chevy engine even though they are esentialy the same and there are in various applications like HD trucks and vettes the serpentine belt system changes ?

^^^its just a GM variation. The LS1 I ordered from the WS6 T/A, the alt is very low and on the driver side, and the PS stayed on the driver-side as well. One reason I chose my engine very carefully was to avoid having any accessories needing special attention.

Are you going to be running a/c on it? Wondering how the accessory's will be run. Thats the only thing i was worried about when i was thinking of doing this.

From what I have read, and this should work with any LSX swap, is leave the stock ECU/partial harness in place simply to run the accessories, and just add power to the LSX ecu to start and run the engine. There might be 3 or 4 splices between the harnesses that need to be made along with the addition of some Dakota Digital boxes, but running both ecu's will simplify everything.
