Black Pearl Emblems

Black Pearl Emblems
I have Black Pearl Emblems on my SC and they look tight, i think... since every model except the SC came in a 'platinum edition' with these black emblems, i just had mine custom done... mine are more shiny, dark metallic, where as the stock 'platinum' ones are darker black...
My car is a dark silver/gray so the emblems are subtle but still visible and accent the car well...
I will post pics for you guys very soon... sorry I can't right now.
Peace

I saw black pearl SC400 emblems available for sale in a display case at Keyes Lexus in Van Nuys. Lexus might not have offered it stock on the SC, but apparently they are making them for the SC now. Try ordering them from your local dealership. If they don't have them, try Keyes.

To all, please beware however... its really a matter of how much you want to pay... Here in Washington... we have 3 lexus dealerships in the Seattle area and none of them give a rip about aftermarket add-ons, and thus, don't sell anything, much less for the SC... GS or IS, maybe... so I had alot of trouble getting them, but all of the dealerships told me that they would take a set of cores (silver ones) and have an outsourced company plate them...
it took me 4 months to get them the way i wanted... and even the ones that are on my car aren't flawless like the stock ones, but I really like the color and look that it gives (the stock ones for the GS and such are much darker)... the black chroming process isn't like the gold plating process... apparently its alot harder to do.
so just beware... if you have to get them plated, expect them to come back really ****ty, and if they are ****ty... have them keep sending it to another company... Alot of shotty workmanship out there in the world....
if you find them done and ready at a dealership... more power to you... but you're probably gonna get ripped... mine cost $350... but well worth it.
