Default Could Someone please tell me,,,

ok so don't be too hard on me. This is my everyday car. I need to know if I can put a 265/40 18 on the rear wheels. the wheels are 18x8.5 38 offset with 245/45 on right now.

Thanks guys

I have 265/35/18 in my rear tires...that's what I would put to prevent rubbing, but then again, my rear wheels are 18x9.5 +25 offset.

looking at that specs on tirerack, 265/40/18 widths range from 9 to 10 inches.. How about a 255/40 tire?

Thanks guys....I don't like those wheels anyway...the previous owner did. I want to put a mesh type on instead..I was just thinking i could get the tires before. Since the car isn't dropped...I didn't want too low of a profile with too much space in the well...
