The SC is a standard car so you can customize it but you cant change the body other than color, ride height, and add a wing. There is a fair amount of modding that can be done. Over all I was pleased. Odd that you cant update the breaks. Only adjust them. Thats the only thing I hate about this game. The braking physics are messed up IMO. The premium cars are more versitile as far as customizing, I think. So far I only have a DSM VR4, supra, and SC so IDK.
The physics are OK but the crashes are not realistic at all hehe luckley for most of us. The damage modeling is very minimal on this car. You can barely tell. Not sure about the other cars.
GT5 being the best is arguable by some people online, but it is a fun game. I bought the PS3 slim just for GT5 and just to drive the SC. hehe We need to do a CL fastest GT5 SC contest lol.

sup i got gt5 when it first came out and i can't find the sc in the used car dealership, right now im on level 7. What do I need to do to get the sc. Does it only come with a 1j or does it also come with a 2j in gt5? This game is awesome by the way. I just need to get the logitech g25 now.

I got a black Soarer in there, tuned it up all the way. Even though it's a shame that it isn't a premium car, Soarer wheels and badges still look nice. My PSN is bluAsterisk for those of you that want to know.

I bought the 1997 Lexus Sc300 used, and it came with the 2.5 1JZ?? I guess someone did a swap into mine...
As a GT veteran, it feels very similar to previous versions, and I literally could win races while falling asleep in my chair... I'm not impressed at all with the physics as it feels way too similar to GT1/GT2. The steering wheel does improve the game only slightly.
The game physics IMO simply cannot compare to the Codemasters 2007 PS3 release called GRID.
I dislike how they excluded car damage, again in GT5. The music is very boring and puts me to sleep late at night.
GT5 is not all bad though- The car selection is great, the graphics are stunning, and it has the car performance customization that made us all fall in love with GT1, but I really expected them to step up the programming/physics after taking this long to get it done.
My copy of GT5 is for sale, and I'll be holding out for GRID 2 which comes out in 2012.

i hate how gt5 has standard cars... i cant even change the rims on the sc and its soooo lameee. forza ftw even tho it doesnt have an sc, u can still do more to the car like appropriate engine swaps and yes change the rims....
