i used to love the gt series and thought that it was unbeatable, but its been left in the past unless there is going to be some groundbreaking downloadable improvements.

try it but dont buy it. if youve been playing any recently released racing games..forza, pgr, tdu, nfs:shift etc. its just going to feel like going to a funeral for some distant uncle that you havent seen since you were three and a half.

to quote one of my friends after buying it, "its a decent game, but it feels like a game that should sale for maybe 25 bucks, it just feels unfinished"

 

If you look at the details, it has a 2.5 1JZ instead of the 2JZ

I like how you can add the stage 1 and 2 turbo kits and it only adds like 10hp

Go buy Codemasters GRID for like $20-30 bucks, go buy the a Logitech force feedback steering wheel, and you'll thank me for it.

That's so disapointing... It seems like it's the biggest letdown in gaming in the past 10 years. I always felt the same way about GT, thinking it would show Forza fans what's up, but it sounds like the biggest joke ever.

I just want the stage 1 NOS upgrade from the first Fast and the Furious movie. Now that's some real power. Who needs stage 2 turbo kits?

Lucky for me, I got Grid for $5 on Xbox, but there's only the Microsoft steering wheel for the 360 and I think they quit making it....

Maybe because people want to play with a car that has the same motor as their real-life car. Nothing against the 1jz but I want to replicate MY car in the game.

 

I think the game is great but does has it's flaws as well. I suggest getting a steering wheel, it makes the game that much more enjoyable.

lets put in the 1.6L civic, and the 1.8 and the 2.0 and the 1.5 and the ....

no lets just put the more powerful more tuner orientated version of the vehicle.

But they yes call one a lexus.. which is considered a US made vehicle and the soarer which is japanese made.. and both with the same 1jz..
in all honesty.. it doesnt really matter does it?
Id love to see the uzz32 but why? its slower, and no offence to the v8 fanboys but its not AS tuner friendly..

besides looking what majority of what you guys here do/ have done or even thought of doing.. IS buy a 1jz and swap it in..
seems popular to me.. so why spend more time coding for a slower less desired sc300 ?

I think the 97 models are mostly preferred, that's why it was the only year featured in the game. Soarer 2.5TT and SC300 (Both '97).

 

I'm still waiting for the Toyota Soarer or SC300 to show up in my used car list

 

I have the Soarer and its not that rare just finish a race and check used car section frequently. I can send you one if you like.
