Default 1" or 1.5" drop with 18's?

Well I finally got some 18's. The tires are 245/40 zr18's. Im not happy with the gap though. My next mod is to lower the car. Im debating wheter to go with eibachs or intrax springs. The eibachs are a 1" drop and the intrax are a 1.5" drop. Is 1.5 too much. Will I rub? Which is best. Any pics. Thanks in advance.

I've heard that intrax springs are not that great. If anything, go with the Eibach Prokits.

You'll only be lowered an 1" with the Eibach Prokits for the SC. But if you buy the Prokits for a Supra TT, you'll be lowered more than 1". I don't know the exact # but it looks sweet!

That's what I'm going to do soon, drop it on Supra TT Eibach Prokits and use KYB AGX struts.

I heard that Eibach's foundries make most other spring brands too so the quality is all pretty similar. As for the drop, 1.5-inch all the way!

Actually, Eibach definitely builds their own springs and nobody elses. In the past you could measure the spring wire diameter and tell that is was a true Eibach built spring. H&R builds some springs that are then OEM'd for other people.

However, for an example, a shop I used to run contracted a place in the Bay Area to bend 500 sets of Honda springs in Maroon Red for very little. Did they sag over time...yeah... were they cheap...yeah.

Intrax are not horrible...but Eibach are the best in my opinion.

1.5" may not be able to align the car afterwards. 1" is easy to align.

Good luck.
