95 SC300, need diagnosis please
had my sc sitting for a month or so and when I went to start it it was dead. before this I did have one hard start ( like a cold start). I took the battery to advanced and they said the battery cranking power was dead, so i bought a new battery. Came home, installed, and started up first crank.
about 2 weeks later I went out to the car and its dead again. I only had driven it once. I took the battery back and they said it needed to be charged. once i got the battery charged, I took it home and sure enough, it won't start at all.
symptoms:
-lights work, come on, windows go up and down etc.
-car does not crank at all
-clicks once when I turn the key so it seems the starter is working
-alternator was replaced last year
the only ideas I have our maybe the negative battery terminal is bad ( doesn't tighten great but does tighten good). or maybe I blew a fuse someone from trying to jump the dead battery. any help would be very appreciated. I'm unemployed right now and can't afford to waste money on a tow to a dealership. plus i know someone has had to have this same problem

meter the battery to make sure its got at least 12 volts on it step one...hopefully it does, then check all the grounds to make sure they are making good contact. (clean them if not) then come back and we will keep going....

Terminals could use replacement and sounds like the starter. Could be a flat spot.
When I had first bought my car, it still had the OEM starter. Took me 5~20 clicks til it finally cranked. You can try replacing the contact points alone or just replace the whole starter itself. I replaced the entire thing last month and now it starts up no problem. Goodluck!
