pretty common. i was replacing a clutch for a customer in his sc300, and i went to pull the dust cover and the pulley fell onto my shoulder. i spent about 20 min looking at all the accessories and then finally realized that it was off the crank. dude had been driving like that a while. said he heard a clunk on the freeway but figured he had run something over.

whoa i never seen anything like that. it just broke off all the blades? time to go electric fans

Thats what i want a electrical fan i think its better and less force towards the engine i think

So if this is a common problem...could we just remove the fan shroud so that way it won't hit it?...or is it more to it than that.

the fan shroud directs air into the rad. if u didnt have it then u'd notice the car running hotter.

^ yeah very true. Most people make the mistake of removing it. Leave it there if your using a clutch fan
