Exclamation Need diagram of LS400 Caliper reassembly, or..

close-up shots of your LS calipers showing how the pad brackets/pins shoud go.

I recently had my calipers powdercoated porsche red and they dissasembled everything except for the pistons. So now i have to put it all back together but i dont remember exactly which bracket go where. Im pretty sure i have most of it figered out, but i just want verification so i dont kill myself test driving it later.

help a brova out...

pads go on any way.. they are the same.. then the pins from the outside in. then in the back, the wire that holds it goes in both pins and the ***** lookin part goes in the hole on the back of the caliper. before putting on the last pin make sure that spring cross goes under the pins

thanks.

yeah, i actually did all that. I just want to compare my assembly with someone else's to make sure i have that wire that holds the pins sucure/correct.

About the pads though....

I nottice that 2 of the 4 pads have a groove in the middle of them.

so i made sure that each caliper has 1 pad with the groove installed on one side. is it supposed to be that way? and whats the purpose of the groove on 2 pads and not ALL 4??? is that for some attempt at ventilation or something?? lol Why only 2 and not all 4 then.
