Yeah I hear ya on the heated seats. We just got our first snow in Nashville tonight (I live 15 minutes away in Brentwood) and although only 2-4 inches, the windchill is in the teens creeping to zero. My seats take a little while to heat up but they do help. I wish they would heat up a little faster and hotter but hey the car is almost 16 years old and I will eventually just put new ones in.
Wait, "Just put new ones in"? Is it easy to replace the old heating elements? My seats sometimes heat up great while other times they just only get a bit warm....honestly I think they are starting to go after 13 years. What's the deal with replacement?
heated seats and traction control is all depends where the car was originally sold. ex. SC sold in CA and FL, do not have traction control. FL does not have heated seat because it never gets crazy cold, so no point paying extra when not needed.

I didn't know that. My car is originally from Florida.
