Default I think I am the only one with this mod

So does this make me the worlds fastest SC300 5 speed with a wheelchair ramp?

It's reinforced and welded in the trunk. The pin drops in from the top instead of the side. Also handy for carrying a bunch of crap that won't fit in the trunk.

It IS a trailer hitch. I'm debating trying to tow my dirt bikes with it. I think with trailer they are around 1000 pounds, give or take...

Probably not a good idea, our cars are already heavy as it is; don't want to put another 1000 pound load on that trans.

Thats pretty cool. You can go ride your small atv on the trails all day, then drive home in luxury.

Bah... W-58's are cheap. I'd be more concerned about ripping the the sheet metal out of the trunk. Maybe with more reinforcement...

your sig says you have a "99 F-150 - workhorse" so WHY in the world would you put that thing on your turbo SC in the first place?

and why wouldn't you just mount your dirt bikes onto your F-150

i mean its your car, so you do whatever the hell you want with it, but this just dosen't make sense.

Because I hate the F-150 and its slow (by my standards) yet gets worse mileage than the SC. Also, when the wife and I take a road trip, we prefer the SC - surprise - but it limits what I can do. I can't do Disneyland and stuff like that w/o a wheelchair or mobility scooter and I don't like to rent what I already own.

Also, its 100% hidden when I remove it. The license plate covers the hole and the receiver.

One last benefit is the look on peoples faces when they get spanked by something with a mobility scooter hanging off the back - its priceless.

Even if you wanted to, I doubt if that setup is rated for 1k lbs. on that class of hitch.
