Hey guys I searched this all of through google and club lexus, but came up nothing.. I went to the junkyard and pulled some needles off of an sc400 and first of all can I just replace my original ones?

Also, Is there a link someone can send me directing me how I could get inside the gauge cluster?

They are only compatible between certain years as well. My 95 needles don't work in my 93 - the polarity is reversed.

I got some out of a 1993 and i have a 1992, so i'm pretty sure it will work.. I had a little trouble with the rpm needle, I'm still not 100% on it, but the temp needle and speed needle plugged in fine. and my gas guage is still working, so I didn't replace it.

HELP.. so my speed needle isn't working at all and my rpm is halfway working.. it will attemp to go up, but then won't move.. but the good news is that my temp guage it lit up and work.. lol

but seriously troubleshoott!~

I tried changing my needles out for other ones, but when I did the rpm and speed needle aren't working what so ever..

You bought used dead needles like most everyone else buying used needles does.

but even when i tried to put my old ones in, it wasn't working

I got used needled from the junkyard and when I put them on my rpm needle is not working as well as my speed needle and temp gauge needle.. the temp gauge is working, but is up about 3/4 and staying there..


I put on my old ones and they are doing the same thing? can someone give any insight..
