Default Antenna Motor Assembly

I pulled the antenna assembly from my SC400 a couple of weeks ago to remove my damaged mast. I disassembled the unit and waited for my new mast to come in, which I recieved today. My problem is that I 've reassembled the unit except for one black wire which appears to be a ground from the metal brace on the relay unit and cannot figure out where the other end of the wire is supposed to be attached to. If anyone has any closeup pictures of the assembly or knows where to attach the other end, please let me know!

Thanks,

-James

Haven't had my antenna apart, so can't help on your specific problem, but I will say - -

Use that digital camera to take lots of pix *before* taking something apart, then you can refer to 'em when you forget where all those wires went - -

Yeah yeah, Iwill get off my soapbox now - somebody just slap me - -

If i remember correctly, that "wire" was connected under one of the screws that held the black plastic face on the motor assembly.
It does have an eyelet on it correct??

-strongsail-*slap* j/k. I usually do take pics before hand but my brother borrowed my camera the night before. I thought that my memory was better than it has proven to be!

-jwTR6 and SDSC300 Thank you! It is now back together correctly.

Got a new problem with the assembly. One of the brushes in the motor is almost completely worn out and is causing random stoppages and weak power. Any ideas on where to get new ones as I doubt that it is a part that Lexus sells separately? I was thinking about getting electric R/C car or dremmel brushes.

Thanks,

-James

Noprob, gahasa, I forget my camera most of the time until I've got something half apart -

Regarding brushes for the antenna motor, you might want to check with electric motor shops or auto electric shops, or maybe sewing machine repair or vacuum shop - take the brush and lead in to them and maybe they can find something generic that will fit, brushes are pretty low tech - - they will also show you how to clean up the commutator (the little copper cylinder the brushes ride on) to make the motor work better.
