It looks like he needs to replace the entire climate control anyways.

and I hate when the stock HU gives err codes when flipping through CD's.

its easy --the cracks are only in the finish---strip the finish off --sand and clean the area---re stain it with your choice of color-----spray a clear coat on----it really is very easy im not being sarcastic or anything

the hazyness is the same

I was kinda skeptical when my brother asked me if I wanted this, but it's a lot nicer than worn down wood grain if you ask me. I think this is a nice alternative if you don't want to get the wood grain refinished.
yes it is nicer than worn down wood grain but personally i would rather refinish my woodgrain.

With that aside your carbon fibre does actually look pretty good ----it goes with the black theme of your car and it looks like you did the job properly.

but my opinion is still the same -----my preference is woodgrain thats all

not putting down anyone else or their choices

thanks for sharing the pics

Is there a diy for sanding it down and refinishing it?

skirts im not sure if there is a diy here for refninishing, there might be.

But it is no different than refinishing a table top so try youtube or go talk to someone that has refinished a piece of furniture.

all u will need is furniture stripper 10 bucks, laquer thinner -10 bucks---sandpaper 5 bucks---and than your choice of stain and a clear coat.

obviously u need to take the pieces off

than strip them with the stripper

clean them with the laquer thinner

sand them with the proper grit ----probably 220 or so

than stain and clear coat

good luck

I don't know who has done it, but I want my center console and vent/door trim pieces to be paint matched to my car color (lexus stock paint code: I believe 1A0 but the paint chart says that my '95 doesnt have that color..), is there any place that I can have this done?

yes well where i am almost any body shop or automotive paint supply shop can have your paint matched very closely to your car color.

Give them your color code and go one step further give them the gas cap cover so they can make sure it is close match before they give it back to you.

Ive had one or two matches that were less than accdeptable even though they had my paint code.

^^Thanks.

My front and rear bumpers seem to have suffered this cruel fate of mismatched paint.

I made my own wood trim out of oak and stained it myself. It took some time to get the pieces to fit right, but it looks great.

does the 3m carbon fiber wrap have like a shiny finish. because i was at pep boys looking at their carbon fiber wrap and it looked cheesy and probably would have made my wood grain look tacky.
