Day 2 of stubborn ball joint. I feel like this is going nowhere. I've been banging on this for hours
I bought some of this stuff and drowned the hole where the ball joint goes through and let it sit over night and I'm still having trouble.
EDIT: I've come to the conclusion that the pickle fork just isn't going to work. Does anyone have any suggestions? This ball joint is like beyond stuck, like this thing is ****ING STUCK. No matter how much lubrication I apply, this thing won't budge.
EDIT AGAIN?: OMFG after 2 days of non-stop beating, extreme lubrication and sawing, this SOB finally came out. I am currently extra happy. This is getting finished today!

BTW, the parts that I circled red don't fit around that block thingy with the hole in it(idk what it's called) that you put that really long bolt through to hold everything. What I did was just beat the sides with a hammer and chipped away some of the metal and it fit.

Are you sure you have this part in the right location? Its hard to tell from the picture but I would think the taper should go in the tapered hole on the spindle. Maybe there is a tapered bolt in it otherwise but just trying to be sure. You sure dont want this thing coming apart on the road.

The only thing that gives me closure is that he said a nut wasn't tightened down all the way and he installed it wrong.

I stand corrected, guess its right according to the other thread, otherwise it would bind up and fail. Is there a taper on the bolt that tightens in the spindle hole?
