True...but it's good to know how to remove your radio & all that stuff anyways.

You'll be doing some stuff back there one time or another. Like changing bulbs or replacing your deck.

Default need help

again I`m visiting Japan and I just called Toyota dealer to order the cupholder. I have this part number 55604-24020 for cupholder but she said she needs one more number for internal color to order. Does anyone know right part number for cupholder? or if you can check number for internal color(I have `93 and inside is tan), could you tell me? I think it shows same location as external color number(ex,202 for black) around driver`s side door. Thanks alot

Taka, me too!! I want chrome Soarer badges front and back! "SOARER" wordmark, "TOYOTA" wordmark, "GT" wordmark, Griffin badge, and a "LIMITED" or "V8" wordmark if they exist. I'll pay you back, and even in the off chance that I don't, you won't have ANY trouble selling them on CL!

I just got my cupholder but I ordered wrong color, tan. I think I`m supposed to order grey. Does anyone want tan cupholder to match your interior?

Trivia - that slot to the right of the radio is made to hold the case for the cassette tape.

The badges available for a JZZ/UZZ30/31:

Front: Griffin emblem

Sides: Depending on year model, only the 91~93 (or US 92~94) had a "LIMITED" wordmark on the front guards, from 94 (or US 95) up it had the model designation, meaning that the available models were: 2.5GT-T, 4.0GT, 4.0GT-L, 3.0GT (from memory)

Rear: Toyota emblem and "Soarer" wordmark (as you all know).

There was no "Toyota" or "V8" wordmark, however the first Soarer I was looking at (a 92 V8 Limited) was badged as being a "Toyota Soarer V8 QuadCam"... the original owner must've liked his badges!

The "cup holder" slot serves no useful function other than being able to stuff something in there which wont get ejected on a fast launch, a cassette holder will just hit the floor so I doubt that was ever the intention.

The cup holder is trick, smart and bloody useless as a cup holder but looks good when closed or indeed when someone ask "whats that for" so they can have a demo.

Either get a holder to fill the gap or use this location to mount the mobile phone holder thus hiding the gap (my preferred option).

I tried to pop mines off for the heck of it and cracked the clips.. Useless POS.... I ended up using a screw to hold it back in.

The last owner must of put it in. Both of my 93 SC400 didn't came with it. I had to put it in myself and I am the second/third owner.

The cassette case fits in there perfectly. Also, there are two rubberish pads inside the slot that hold the case. Actually, I rarely use it now because I never listen to cassettes anymore. But when it was new in '93, I used it for that purpose.
