Default Gte swap harness question

I have a 92 sc400 I had a harness made for a 2jzgte swap. Got the engine in and the plugs for the body ( kick panel passenger side gauges ignition ect.) don't match up. The guy that made the harness is going to make a patch harness so I don't have to pull the motor. It's kinda like a jumper harness. Anyway my question is: why are the plugs different? Is it because it's a sc400 or because it's a 92. The harness came from a usdm mkiv and they didn't make them in 92 model year. I have the opportunity to buy a 93 sc300 body harness and I'm wondering if it will be the same as a supra tt mkiv.

I have never actually seen a Supra harness, but IIRC the Supra body plugs are different than SCX00 body plugs. AFAIK, the only harness with body plugs that plug right into the SC is the Soarer harness, and of course it wont run a 2JZ. When you say he made the harness, what did he change if the body plugs don't work?

Supra body plugs are different than SC3 or 400 .
The supra has 2 body plugs, and the SCs has 4 plugs (2) grey (1)white and (1) orange.

The other small white one is the blower motor i didn't count that.

who made your harness? send him the modified gte and stock sc4 harness, he has to de-pin, re-pin, add and delete a few things. adding a patch harness sounds like "more electrical issues" to ME.

The patch harness is usually for the ECU plugs... You don't need to pull the motor the get the harness of the engine lol, you may have to remove intake manifold.

Don't get a patch harness for the body plugs it will be a nightmare, just send him your
SC400 harness and let him do his homework.

Have. Whole car is there. But he said he still wants to do the patch harness because the pin sizes are different....

I wouldn't do it if i was you! seriously it doesn't make any sense to me.
I always try to simplify things in case something goes wrong.

Are the pin sizes the same for the sc400 and the supra?

No there are not the only pins that are the same is the ECU part the ECU connector are the SC.
The SC3 and SC4 almost identical but not the same.
You can use a USDM TT Harness on the SC thinking it will be PNP, no it will not work.
Here is what you can do use the body plugs from your SC4 harness.
