Lowering the car
My buddy drove his new Z06 over to the house today and he wanted to lower it. After his deep research and extensive diggin around on other corvette forums, we found out that all we needed to do was lower 4 screws total, one per side to lower his car over an inch. I was like there is no way, sho nuff, it was that simple. In the picture below, it shows the bolt sticking up through the lower control arm, just turn to your correct ride height. The same all the way around.
I wanted to know why our SC's arent designed this way and so simple. Everyone complains about the stock ride height, but man it took around an hour. It wouldnt have even took that long, if my jacks would go a little lower. I just wanted to share my experience with my first corvette, and it looked so simple to replace bushings, controls arms, ball joints, sway bars, and sway bar links. Everything was right in the open. It will not allow me to upload my pictures for some reason. Prolly too big.
I wanted to open the discussion to how many and other typres of vehicles are this simple that the SC community has ran across. I wonder if there is something that maybe some of our engineers on here can maybe think about designing and building. If so, I want dibbs on the first set.

After we finished with it, and washed it up, after our hard snow fall, I took it around the city, man is it quick and comfortable to drive. Love the heads up display. Dont worry, Im not switching to American muscle, sticking with my 92 400! Makes me want to go buy a 1JZ or 2JZ so bad.

Beautiful cars, I have always liked those. Previous owner of my SC got a Electron Blue C5 Z06 shortly after selling me the SC.
From SC to Z06 is a great choice in my opinion.
Or from Z06 to SC aswell

Fellas, I have to agree. I was surprised of how much a C5 Z06 stock power had. I have to be very clear, I have never ridden in a boosted 1JZ or 2JZ, so I have nothing to compare it too. I could only imagine what 440 to the rear wheels feels like. Thats about the average HP on hear with boost.
My buddy is going to putting in a cam, new stage 2 intake and headers in about a month. I hope I part of the modding. I have never worked on a vette until yesterday. This was a red with black leather, 2002 with only 19K miles, paid 19,500 for it. Its absolutely perfect, but needs tires. Bought it out of Nashville, from a Profeesional Car Detailer company who owned it.
