Sc #2

got rid of the stoptechs because id need a massive spacer to clear them. bought the fujitsubo catback from tein, which is arriving today. i got a set of hankook v12s mounted on the veilsides. im busy for the next few weeks so the coilovers/exhaust/wheels should be on the car by early november. im selling 1 set of the veilsides and not rebuilding the other set im using for this car. when i get bored with them they will be rebuilt and go on the blue sc. i plan on ordering the behrman/wise lip pretty soon. and that will probably be it for this car.

installed the coils this past weekend with racinstylez' help
its just a tad lower than stock height bc the perches are seized i tried a hammer/screwdriver, liquid wrench, breaker bar for more leverage, but they didnt work. i just ordered some aero kroil so im hoping it does the job. if not, ill probably have to disassemble to coilovers to be able to clean them thoroughly, which i dont want to get into.
it rides pretty stiff though, even with the damper on the softest setting. i have a feeling these are race coilovers.. lol
i wouldve installed the fujitsubo exhaust as well, but i need a jack that goes higher than the one i have. should be installed in the next couple weeks though.

go someplace that has liquid nitrogen or a vat of dry ice. super cool the metal and sometimes they will shrink enough to pop the perches free
We just did wheel bearing in my subaru with nitrogen. Bearing need to be pressed in, my buddy goes no they don't. He froze both bearings slid them in like butter let them thaw and BAM pressed in

I was going to suggest heat, but ^ the cooling method would probably be safer. No use blowing a hole through your coilover because you don't know how to use a torch. Maybe heat the collars with a heat gun and tap them with a hammer, might bust them loose.
