Default weird acceleration in my sc400...wtf

So I didnt drive my car for about a week and when I finally did it had a weird problem under acceleration. At idle and at light throttle it sputters and the car jerks and shakes. When the rpm's get up past 3000 it runs ok but its really noticeable at low rpm speeds and randomly at idle. Its still driveable and there are no check engine codes....I have no idea what happened

Any help is greatly appreciated. tyia.

Forgot to add that it is guzzling gas as well, could it possibly be related?

replace your coils, chances are you have a weak coil. Common problem in the sc. I had the same issue. You can test the resistance of your coils by unplugging the wire from the distributor and see the spark. You will want to look for a good spark to a ground on your car. The only problem is if it on the verge of going out it may test good but 5 minutes later the car will be running like *****.

Is there a definite way of testing before replacing them both?

I just made a thread about this today right after I swapped my ECU which I thought was the problem, I'll test the coils tomorrow, I really hope that's it.
