A few questions about LEDs
#17
Update: I have been emailing the supplier of the switchback LEDs, and it seems that if we run 1157 (3 connectors) bulbs in the corner lights, the switch backs will work. However, if they are 1156 (2 connectors), then they wont.
So what bulbs are used? Some sites say 1157, others 1156. Im confused

If you have an 1157 bulb, the 1157 bulb is a dual circuit bulb.
One circuit is usually connected to the parking light/headlight circuit and the other is connected to the turn signal circuit.
This is why there are three wires.
- Ground
+ Turn signal
+ Parking light

If it is an 1156 bulb, then there is no way to make it switch colors as there are only two wires going to the bulb socket:
- Ground
+ Power
There is no way to make this switch colors. All you can do is switch it on or off.
