Going NA-T and need help
Hi I have a 93 SC300 with 250,000 miles runs great. I'm looking to install a T67 turbo next month and want to know is it true that you can run low boost on the stock compression and ECU. I'm on a low bud and on a mission to come back on a 3g Eclipse that has mods. I'm also running an auto transmission but have a friend that has 2 92' Supra 5speed transmissions and giving me one. So I will be doing that too.

Yes it is true. Stock ECU will accept up to about 4~5 psi. But with 250,000 miles...you should be looking into maintaining the car up to par first before boosting. Just my $0.02...

Ok I dont be leave that it has a 250k engine in it I saw signs of replacement. I also done a comp and leak test after I got it before installing new plugs and I will replace all crank bearings when I do the turbo and transmission swap. I just want to know if I can get by on stock ecu cause of my wallet. Also how about if I use a 93 Supra TT ECU or safc 2?

where in SC are you?
I wouldn't worry about the mileage much if the compression is good, I had almost 180k on my NA-T car, and there is a member here with over 315k on his NA-T car..
what part of SC are you in?

I live in Florence SC. Well what do I need to get about 350 to 400rwhp on pump 93 and is there anything that I need to do to run E85? I heard its possible.

you dont need much to get that horse power goal.. turbo is the most enjoyable way to go in my opinion (i'm just a boost freak) but on the e85 not you could only use is mixed with gas safely more gas then race fuel! but for full e85 you have to build the car for that type of octane level since it will eat through your oem fuel rail.

If you're having to ask these kinds of questions please dont try to run E85. For your power goals you may want to look into buying an XS Power kit and an safc for mild tuning. Who is going to do the install/tuning? If you're having a shop install dont forget to factor in their labor rates.

eh, probably not. You're gonna be limited by the oem injectors. If you want 400whp you're gonna need at least 440cc injectors. Yours are probably good for close to 300 but you'll be maxing them out.

if the engine is in good shape, then low boost is no problem with a piggyback or fmu for fuel. no need to open the bottom end, if you are going to do anything more than regular maintanence timing belt/waterpump just replace the headgasket and you can run more boost. if you want more than 350 you need injectors or meth.
