Default Help, tire blow out causes c.e.l???

Hey guys,
I was driving home on i95 tonight,
drivers side rear tire exploded on me,
completely ruined the paint job on that side,
not only that, but it caused the trac control
to permanently stay on and it also brought up
the Check engine light,

any ideas what this could be? Nothing feels wrong
with the car performance wise, it feels perfect to me.

this is just super depressing, I feel like a freaking
beat up 240, thats why I sold my 240! aha.

do you have mad negative camber in the rear? you always have to check the inside of the tires. just a glance ans you see fresh rubber will throw you off. i only get 3000 miles out of my rears....ya I know but its always something to check. also i'm sorry that happened to you bro and glad to see that you are alright. try just clearing the codes wit the old battery terminal trick and just wait and see if they come back. I doubt they will. i don't know why...just have a feelin

back on?

See if it clears with after pulling the negative battery terminal for a few minutes. I'm not that familiar with the Lexus trac system, but I know some others will react to mismatched tire diameters. What did you replace the blown tire with (in comparison to your other tire diameters) ??

Pulled the batt term off and the c.e.l cleard as well as the trac
control light, now the trac is functional again. I replaced the wheel
and tire with an Identical match, so I should be good from here on out,

thanks guys, I was worried it was a lot more,
now I need a re-spray, UGH hahaa
