Default Help with strut/spring question

I am thinking about buying Bilstein Shocks and Eibach Springs from a 95 toyota supra to put on my 95 sc400 instead of buying tein coilovers. I am also getting some wheels that are 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 What would be the pros/cons of buying the shocks and springs instead? Would I bottom out with this setup?

I dont think you would bottom out at all. That depends on the tire size in height. With 18's all the way around, I would run 40 series in the front and maybe 35 in the rear. It should give you an even flush look and nice stance with about 1" to 1-1/2" drop. If you decide to run 275 in the rear for width, maybe a fender tuck or pulled fenders as I have and possibly the front.

Well the wheels that I am buying are on a sc300 as of now. I am getting them Saturday and right now they are perfectly flush are look good, but the guy has them on teins. I don't want to buy teins just so I can lower the hell out of my car because the ride would be too stiff. With those springs and shocks I can get a nice nonadjustable lower and still have a smooth ride. I just want too make sure that the wheels will go good with the suspension as far as clearance.

really for me it would depend on two really important things... the $$$ and how many miles were put on this strut/spring setup... if it was anywhere near 50,000 miles and up i would have to pass... tein basic coilovers are $700-$800 and they are brand new with no miles... just depends on what your willing to spend and if your gonna want to spend this money again in the near future to do what you could have done right the first time... used parts aren't always a bad thing but i would just never use used struts/springs
