HAHA, I knew that was coming. Poor 7M got a bad rep because people dont build em correctly then proceed to run the hell out of them only to watch them fail and blame it on the engine. An engine is as good as its owner.

I built mine the proper way, it runs a HKS 1.2mm MHG. But just an FYI, ran for years on a stock head gasket with not one problem. Once I knew id be running lots of boost, i decided to go through the engine and build it properly. Do it right or do it twice.

Well in that case good for you i don't think i have ever seen anyone build a 7m the right way. You said it makes 500 hp how big is the turbo on there and what boost are you at to make that power? I don't mean to hate on the 7m its just that we have this stupid kid by use that follows me and my car friends around every where. Anyways he has a mk3 supra and the kid is always talking **** about how much power he can make but he WILL NOT REV IT PAST 5 Grand for fear of blowing his head gasket. its really very funny.

Tacoma 2JZ has been done a long time ago, the less common one is the 2JZ 4Runner but that has also been done. my fav is the late 80's 4runner with a 2JZ swap, if you can get one with the solid axles you can do some serious 2JZ mudding.

Seems like it's a lot more common than I thought haha. I apologize, I just thought it was cool because it was the first time I've seen it.

HAHA, its all good. I get it all the time. Not much respect for the MK3 Supra, especially from the MK4 guys.

Im running a baby turbo, just an 60-1 upgraded CT26. The car makes a little over 400 at the wheels on boost, 21 lbs. With the 100 shot on top its making over 500 to the ground and almost 600 lb-ft of torque.

Check out the MK3 section on Supraforums some time, plenty of high horsepower 7M powered MK3's.
