It's been done a few times. Someone local to me did this in an old tacoma of his, pretty cool swap.

yeah ive seen a few 7m swaps into the older trucks, 4runners etc.

 

I have seen a bunch of 2J Taco's..some 2wd, some 4wd. Some for street use, some for off-road, some for both.
