1JZ wire harness body plugs questions
I been working on my 1.5JZ swap the last 2 days. Got the motor in, everything plugged in. Car initially turns over but no spark. I noticed on the body plugs that theres a few wires disconnected(4 or 5 wires) so I called my buddy who gave me the engine set if that was intentional. He answered YES, it was for the tach, speedo etc.
So I had a guy come over that has some experience with 1J's and he told me that those wires are supposed to be connected. He connected 2 wires and the car turns over and fires up but has a big miss then dies, sounds like its running on 3 cylinders.
We tried swapping out igniters, that wasnt the problem. He told me it sounded like a wire issue.
Is there suppose to be any disconnected wires at the body plug? If yes, which wires?
Theres also a plug next to the igniter that I have disconnected, where does it go?

It's a capacitor 90980-04083. What does it do? idk but I would assume something with timing.
Your stock one should work if you have it . Of course you could always get it on ebay or one of the wreckers in the for sale section.
