you owe me 239$ pcmw.... hehe

i emailed them... seems weird that they would say that "may cause friction between the battery and the intake system" when the battery is on the other side of the engine bay. if this pans out, i'll be ordering it asap

i'll let you guys know what they tell me.

hehe, thanks pcmw!

I think that battery rubbing stuff is Injen's tagline for all their intake designs.. They are just making the point that the competition cannot alter the pipe sizing of their intakes because they only have one mandrel bending machine.

I hope this works out for you.... I really think that you should buy me an intake as well for my SC300. Red will be fine.... thanks..

This is what I mean. The intake for sc300 and sc400 is different in a way that, for sc400, the chrome piping goes all the way to the filter, compared to the sc300 where it stops at the MAF sensor, and connects with your filter.

Why couldn't the freakin manufacturers make the sc300 intake same as sc400s!

Thumbs up Cheaper INJEN intake

I found a cheaper website Injen air intake you can buy for $186.67.

http://www.adventon.com/acb/showprod...tGroup_ID=1451

Remember when you put the air intake in, modify to cover the air filter. Otherwise, you sucking in hot air, not cool air.

Use K&N $70.00 or HKS $ 35.00 direct replace stock air filter.

Check out my civic intake I got for free. Before you guys start bashing about not using a filter don't worry I haven't had the time to chop the intake 2-3 inches.

you guys are talking about two different engines.....the 2jz-ge uses that MAF......1uzfe has different MAF....so of course you'll have two different intakes.....it sucks that they don't make a replacement MAF for the 2jz-ge but what can you do? we'll have to deal with it for now.....

hey guys, i have a question.
in this link:
http://www.adventon.com/acb/showprod...tGroup_ID=1451

what's the POLISH one? Why is it cheaper and how does it differ from the red and blue one.

finally. what kind of instruction does it come with. can someone briefly explain? I'm on my way to order this except that I have NO CLUE about the installation. Please help. Thanks.

its polished... get it shiny, chrome, not to be mistaken with an intake imported from the land of poland. thats what the pics are of, they are the polished form of the tube. its cheaper because they have to paint the others, and i geuss they are charging you for the paint. i havent seen the red or the blue. but the polished looks nice.

lexcoupe, i agree. the polish ones look much nicer to me.
Since you've got the injen intake, what's your thought so far.
I've done some search but the consensus here says its not worth $200+ and that the stock filter can provide the same performance. Do you feel the performance gains? Would you say it's worth it?

Also, does the kit come with detailed instructions? What exactly are the steps to installation?

yah it comes with detailed instructions, they have a sheet that has the install on it with digital pics. id say that its basically just for looks and sound. i did notice a slight increase in hp cause now i can chirp my tires going from 2nd to 3rd. i could rarely do it with the stock setup. but id say that its mainly for looks and sound. it totally changes the sound of the engine. i like it that way. i think that its worth the money cause if your looking into putting the car in shows then they will look for a complete intake, not just filter and adapter.
