Default 1jz swap time ALL INPUT NEEDED

hey guys, soooooooo tax season is coming around and ive been toying with the idea of the 1jz swap into my sc or heads/cams on my 96 mustang.

sooooooo

1. where is a good reputable jdm engine importer everyone would reccomend.

2. what all is needed besides all the basic stuff that comes with the swap like auto trans, engine, ecu for the swap?

3. im assuming the wiring harness does not swap right up?? if i remember right theres a guy in dallas TX who does them for a good price? whats his name and site again??

4. how hard is it to get a 1jz with working a/c. (not a necessity just would be nice)

5. so far the engine swaps im seeing are going for a great deal cheaper with no trans. would my 93 auto a340e fit right up?? or what would be needed

sorry if some of yah dont like the format of my questions just figured it would be easier to read this way.

thanks in advance... your responses will be swaying me to get back in my lexus game

Then double it, because its always going to be twice what you think you will need to spend. Doubt me, but i speak from experience

I have never done and engine swap nor do i plan to but i agree with this statement 100%.

It is frustrating to me hearing so many p[eople talk about swapping engines like they are swapping their tires out, it IS a big job and alot can go wrong .

Good luck

Don't bother with the 1j, for all the money you're going to invest in it the 2j is only going to run you an extra couple hundred dollars IF that. I've seen some places asking for MORE for the 1j haha

+10,000 a swap costs much more than you think. All the info you need is on here, supramania, supraforums, etc. Sit down, do your research, and make your decisions.

i believe yah, werent you the one who used to run maserati resonators on his car??? j/w

but yeah so im wondering whats really the most straight forward auto swap for either 1jz or 2jz. i would like to keep cost down as much as possible but im sure this will cost me 3 or 4 in the end. i have many mech friends who hook me up on work so lucky there.
