HELP! 03' IS300 manual ecu swap into a 00' sc300?
I just bought a manual is300 ecu to swap into my 2000 auto sc300 because I just did a manual transmission swap into it already. Now I'm trying to find a way to get rid of the CELs I got for the missing transmission.
I got the matching transponder and some ecu plugs from a 2002 Solara 4cyl that matches the 02-05 IS300 ecu. I'll be repining the ecu to match. Hopefully this works!!!!
But only problem I see in this ecu swap is that VIN that's already programmed in Is300 ecu is different then the ca's vin#... and that also won't let me pass safety and emission here in utah.
My question is can I get the is300 ecu re-flashed with my sc300 VIN#? Is it even possible to reflash an toyota/lexus ecu with out having to buy a $1500 ecu from the factory????

we have all been trying to figure out how to avoid the annoying cel, let us know if you find a proper solution
