Directql,
I'll pick one up as soon as I find the right one. The right one seems to be about as hard to locate as my supra was! I've even expanded my search to 93-97, black or silver, 5spd reasonably low miles. Still pretty rare, but I know it will come along. Most likely will have to travel too, not a real big issue.
I watch traderonline, cars.com etc. everyday to see if any new ones have gone up.
Anyone else know of some other good sources to search?
I'll continue to look through the local publications as well.

I testdrove a black/tan 92 5 speed with 52k miles around here, they were only asking 11.5 for it also. Was in great condition, but I think he may have traded it in to the dealer. I can check for you if you want though.

well the supraforums crowd seems to have a seriously different opinion of the fmax kit...
i'd suggest going to check that out...
on the N/A Supra forum there's a ton of threads on getting the fmax kit; lots of people on there have it

the supra guys have had plenty of problems from f-max...including the car that made it to nopi last year with a cracked f-max manifold and it caught on fire after the burn out competition......that sounds like a good kit to me....
i will tell you from personal experience and what i have seen with my own eyes...not what i heard or read.....the kit is poor quality and has problems....its not a kit that will hold up...it will have problems.....if you dont want to believe it thats fine....take your chances.....
as for SRT...they are a company that made a supercharger and swore that they could make great power with it......and promised a line up of superchargers for all lexus vehicles which never happened......now they have jumped on the turbo band wagon and are trying that.....if you want to be a crash test dummy be my guest.....but a friend of mine had his is300 supercharged by them and they ended up replacing his short block..and had the car for almost 6 months...Jeff

So i finally decided to sign up and POST!!
I just picked up my 99 SC300 less than 2 weeks ago, and here i am in the turbokit post...
Well i just wanted to add, if i do go with a kit its going to be a Sound-Performance Kit.. I have been dealing with larry in the past, and well I am very well known in the Supra world.. Having a '98 SP70 (currently going w/ a SP74) supra..
I have seen SP's turbo kits, fuel systems, and well let me tell you its definatly is a work of ART...
I guess thats all i wanted to add..
Peace fella's..

welcome over al.....im on supra forums also and have quite a bit of experience......SP is a great shop and Larry has proven himself to be knowledegable and a good person all around.....i also know toyomoto has specialized in the lexus line up since there was a lexus line up........and the toyomoto kit is rock solid......there are pieces for the sc300 avialble from SP but not entire kits.....so for an entire kit i feel toyomoto is the place to go.....although if someone was in chicago area id definitly say take it to SP for the install.....you would have no worries...toyomoto products installed by SP would be a daily driven turbo sc300 with no problems...and HI Ethan!!!
and i told direqt that he would like the stock supras on the sc300

For me there is two options. Get Toyomoto kit and have SP install it or go all out and have SP do everything. While Toyomoto makes a kit, SP is more of a custom place. They don't have a package like Toyomoto. So, it's like comparing apples to oranges. While both of them are fruits, they taste differently. It's kind of unrealistic for me to go to Toyomoto in FL to have everything done while SP is in my backyard.
