why not order a Blitz or Apexi drop-in? Can find them on ebay. Gain HP w/o the potential for fouling the MASS air sensor.

Here's what I've found. http://www.apexi-usa.com/products/Default.asp?id=5852
Fairly decent price.

No. Not when brand new. I have heard stories that people over-oil them after they clean them. I did this often when I ran a cone filter on my integra. You could feel the oil film along the intake pipe. But i also had this k&n cone filter for MANY years...

I believe in being safe rather than sorry. I run the blitz LM in mine. The apexi looks almost identical except for the color.

I rock the re-usable TRD performance air filter...Those are a bargain at only $80, They even come with a cleaning kit when you first buy it brand new.

I just stuck a cone filter on there. It probably sucks up a bunch of hot air, but it made my exhaust sound louder.

Brutal Truth:

You will not feel any hp difference even if u drop a more expensive filter in ur stock air box.

just buy the oem replacement and call it a day.

qft.
had cones, cais, upgraded panel filters, all of it, in many different cars. can't tell a difference in power. (sound, yes.)

if you are set on an aftermarket, read this:

Apexi for the win, and no oil needed.
