Default DTC code 25 and 41 on 1992 SC4

I have a blinking O/D button, but that's not throwing a code for some reason, and my tranny is acting up big time, not going into gear and clunking in after taking forever to find drive or reverse...

But what I do know, is that my buddy scanned the car, and it says mixture control continuously lean (25) and something about my TPS (41)

I've done a few searches here, and basically found how to find the codes, and one other guy back in 2004 who had a code 41, but no solution listed. I figure I might be able to pull the TPS and clean it and hopefully clear that, and possibly these two have something in common? My car smells like gas after my 20 minute drive to work. I dont start to smell it until I get to the off ramp and then I get a slight hint of gas smell coming from the engine bay I guess?

My friend mentioned I should check if I have a leaky injector. Figured I'd post. Also, if my O/D button is flashing, shouldn't I expect a code for that too? I'm wondering if my Auto is toast, or if I need to replace a solenoid or two. If so, I need a little insight on replacing the Solenoid. Pics or manuals or even just explanations would go a long way with me. Trying to get this car healthy enough to sell so I can pick up a nice clean SC3 to build up

Thanks so much! Call or text if you dont mind giving me some help

the only thing i can confirm is that yes the code 41 is tps code and that a bad tps can cause your car to use more gas than usual causing that fuel smell u were talking about.

Anyways you really have no choice but to replace it anyways to narrow it down. You have to trust the computer , if it says the tps is acting up u should replace it.

I forget what code 25 is im sorry.

good luck

no I haven't, but a friend of mine just picked up a 92 LS400 that has no CEL so I'll swap the sensor from that and see if its all good after. If so, I'll be on the lookout for the new sensor, and while I'm at it, I'll check the injectors, and any carbon build up in the TB. Hopefully that'll do it. I've had to clean MAFs before because a clogged filter was so old it started to twist out of place from all the suction, and the dirt on the sensor was enough to cause 7 CELs and damn near kill the van. Pulled the MAF, cleaned it, new filter, van ran like a champ again with no codes thrown. I'm hoping its the same on this SC4
