Sad morning for the SC400....
Sad morning for me and my Babe(Lilly). So I was driving to get fill up, and went through a really thick snow pile where they didn't plow that well, the whole street had a layer of snow/ice basically. So once I went over it my tail whipped out like no other tried counter steer but nothing worked. Then I hit a huge pile of snow with a fire hydrant under it cracked my rear lower control arm and dented her.
Here are some pics. (The tape is to cover up the cracked paint so it doesn't rust under it. Hopefully this will bring out the good out of me and start a huge project on her after this. Possibly repainting depending on the $$. If not then I'll get it fixed touched up and then my build will start hopefully by spring or early summer.
(Went to get an estimate to take the dent out and stuff, the guy said 500 plus painting another 200. What do you guys think is a good price for getting the dent out and repainting it ?)

IDK, maybe you're related to the owner of the shop or something, but seriously, I'd want to get a real clear description of the scope of work that's included.

To be honest, I actually think that estimate is rather low. Not that I ever mind getting a great price on something, but whenever I get a price on a job that seems too good to be true, I start to wonder whether corners are being cut (in materials or finish quality) or if extras (predictable ones) aren't included.

You know, if the quarter panel isn't creased too bad, you can do a heck of a lot on a big panel like that with a few suction grabbers and a good tug, heck even toilet plungers can work. It may not get it even close to fixed, but often times it looks a heck of a lot better when it not all caved in, even if there's a few creases and wrinkles left. It may make it tolerable enough to be able to live with it until you're ready to get a more comprehensive repair (you mentioned doing some mods later on). You'd still need to deal with the suspension right away though. Just a thought.
