Default Guys looking to go NA-T

I plan on using a GT45 dual ball bearing turbo.
Has anyone used this generic manifold setup, any info on its build quality would be great!!

I have the same setup. The only thing I would do is check that the dump pipe will fit your waste gauge.

i got that same turbo manifold and it's holding fine for almost a year of abusing now. but had to cut about 1/2" of the wastegate runner and clock the wastegate flange so it'll fit a ebay 50mm wastegate w/o hitting anything.

When you say GT45? Do you mean a legit GT45 from Garrett?

I've seen quite a few ebay manifolds but they are mainly for the smaller framed T4 turbos. When you say GT45, I picture an 80mm turbo, just about the limits of a T4 from Garrett until you move up to a T6 frame. From what I've seen, the mounting flange is not placed far enough from the head causing a clearance issue with large turbos. Number 1 runner becomes a problem not allowing the compressor housing to clock down far enough for the charge pipe.

A friend of mine is using a generic ebay manifold with a Borg Warner S375 and had the exact same issue. Number 1 runner is currently being re-fabricated to clearance the turbo.

First thing that comes to mind, I would recommend staying away from ebay turbos. I'm sure people have make power with it but for how long?

Seems similar to a Garrett GT40 variance that costs about 4 - 5 times as much. Kinda makes you think what they left out to bring the cost down so much. I would honestly say you can spend the $350 somewhere else and don't skimp on the important components.

Anyways, I don't see any issue fitting this turbo on this manifold.

My purpose in doing this build is simple...i would like to make a DIY for my NA-T guys thats very reasonable. I'm tired of seeing companines like boost logic try to sell me a kit for 6k when i can piece together a knockoff that will work work just as well 1k. I do realize some of their manifolds can hold say 35psi of boost and not crack but for most of us 10-15 is all we want. Reasonable wheel hp. I would like to help the community and create powerful reasonable car that helps all of us. And i would like to volunteer myself as a test subject! wish me luck gents.
