What do you mean by hot wiring? If you jump it and it starts, its your battery.

You may have a problem with your ignition switch since when you bypass it stuff works. Is there a lot of play or looseness in the switch ?

I would do some testing before I changed it. You'll need a wiring diagram to find the right ones to check and honestly you will probably need to go to the dealer to fix it. Even if you can find a new switch somewhere else it won't be keyed to your key.
