Thats what I get for skimming the spark plug replacement thread. I was looking for something else at the time but blew through it in a cliff notes manner, the part about removing the upper intake somehow meant to me spark plugs on drivers side. I would have really freaked out when I went out to change them and couldn't find them.

I've noticed that when it's cold out my car will smoke or "steam" will show at idle. The color is gray/whitish. On days that it's warmer this goes away and idle is clear.

Valve seals son. There is a metal cup with a rubber grommet thing inside it. The valve stem travels through the center of this cup and the rubber seals everything off from the combustion chamber. When this rubber gets old oil can leak into the combustion chamber. When you start your car the smoke is the oil being burned off. After a few minuets of driving the smoke goes away, however when you park your car overnight oil will drip back down into the combustion chamber and collect until the next time you start your car. This is why the smoke went away after you went for a cruise and this is why it will be back the next time you start your car. Keep an eye on your oil level. This is an expensive fix unless you do it yourself.
