I fail to see where/how they "lack" on a daily driver...
(old pic^^)
I love my TT wheels, and unfortunately, may be parting with them this weekend. But I have received huge amounts of compliments on how my SC looked with the TT wheels, both with and without the center caps.
Yes a lip may be rare, but to me they are boring and something waiting to be fixed. Thus the TT wheels serve a bit of a purpose being wider and simply looking much better than the factory SC wheels. Although, the bottom line is everyone has their taste and only the user can make the decision.
Some say function over form, others form over function. IMHO, both will look funny without a drop of some sort..but an aftermarket lip on a stock SC, with stock SC wheels...the TT's get my vote. Again, just another opinion.

Before I make the comment I want to make... what is the going rate on a CLEAN set of TT wheels? The prices seem all over the place.
For some of the prices I see you can get pretty decent (albeit used) forged wheels.

They are all over the place for sure. A clean, non curbed set may run you 800+ with tires, but you can find curbed up sets with no tires for as low as $300-$350. It also depends on what year they came off of, and finish, ie chrome, polished, painted.

well for 800 plus dollars you could get a good used set of something alot nicer in my opinion. im sorry but i really dont see the appeal of these wheels at all, they are just stockies from some other car---not flashy ones either.

Depends on the price of the lip and tt wheels and what condition.
But i say get the TT wheels especially if they are in chrome.
Would trade my ace zeus wheels for a set of chrome tt wheels if i could.

I have TT as my summer which I am going to finish them in Chrome.
TT rims are pretty rare up in Canada I think...
Even with Stock 4X4 look I had before I got lots of compliments...
Simply Clean lines that flow with SC for good price...
Works, Rays Engineering and other high quality rims are different story
but you pay the price.
Chrome TT rims will turn heads for sure tho.
at least I think so..
