Between 4,200-5,500 is the range on KBB but they don't base that on rarity either.

Never hurts to start low. If he acts mad or unwilling then let him simmer on it then shoot him a more fair offer.

I think $3500 is a fair starting point, its not like this thing is cherry anyway. Does it seem like the owner knows much about the car as far as rarity or desirability ? To most people these are just old cars, I haven't meet many people who are aware of their cult-like following.

Idk who you've been running into. Most people snap their knecks to get a better look. Not just another old car.

Um, I wouldn't touch this car with a stick...look at the door. Its dented and obviously the whole side of the car has been painted. Probably a lot of bondo...definatly been wrecked. I would offer....2,750 because it looks like crap. Thats about how much you would get out of a part out...but idk. Like I said, the car looks junky...sorry ;(

@Darksaga

The vast majority who see these cars have no idea what they are, what they are capable of, or why they are special. Most people I have talked to about SC's know absolutely zero about them. I talked with guy at work who owns a GS300, he didn't know anything about his engine and where it came from, he thought his car was front wheel drive until I told him it wasn't. To most people these cars are modes of transportation and thats about it.

When you go to look at it take a refrigerator magnet with you. Those are so weak that if there is more than a tiny smear of filler it won't stick to the body. If there is no or very little filler the damage will be easier to fix.
