Default Is this a good price for a 5spd swap for my SC400?

I went to the junkyard yesterday and found a 5spd SC300, still not sure of the year but I know only 95 and up are compatible with the SC400 without having to modify a lot, so I asked the guy how much for the tranny, pedals, clutch master cylinder, driveshaft, he said without thinking too much about it "800 bucks" So what do you guys think?

That is a fair price for a complete w58 setup.

You will need to spend another 1k or so on the quantum auto bellhousing/clutch kit.

It doesn't matter what year sc300 w58 transmission you get. None are compatible with the sc400 without the swap kit.

That is a good price for all those parts. Make sure you get the shifter boot too if it's there and in good shape.

The early SC tranny will work fine too. No need to get a 95+ if an early one pops up, you just want to avoid the early(pre-93) Supra W58.

It's a fair price, but getting him to come down on the price always helps.

yes considering its a scrap car im sure you can do better on the price---act as if you dont care about it and offer him $500, my guess is he goes for it.

here's what I recommend:
transmission from the guy above. shouldn't be but as above, shouldn't cost too much.
get the 1uz kit from quantum.
then get the pedal stuff from drift motion.
get a one piece drive shaft.
I think you will get what you want for less, by going this route, as well as an upgraded driveshaft (or at worst, slightly more...).
