Painted calipers Red and Silver...
The previous owner painted the calipers white they were chipping and it drove me nuts. So this is what I did this weekend...
I like the results and I can wait until I can buy a set of LS400 calipers to do the same thing.

I painted my hub and just to let you know, it's going to flake soon. In my experience, all homemade caliper paint jobs flake after a while. The hub flakes even faster. I did mine right, cleaned the surfaces, used flat red high temp primer, a duplicolor brake painting kit, and it still flaked.
I'm going to take the rears to a body shop to get sprayed and clear coated (lots of clear coat) a subtle color (BLACK) next time. For the front I'm sucking it up and buying Supra TT brakes. And I'll never paint my hub's again because they look awful 6 months later.
Also, If you take it into Discount Tire, they are going to hit the hubs with a grinder (standard procedure) and take off all the paint anyways.

The shield that you painted is a waste of time if you plan on going the LS4 bbk route because you're gonna need to remove/trim them anyways. But definitely looks good for the time being. Good job!

Define a while.... if it's prepped right I don't see why the calipers would flake. If you're putting on new calipers that makes it even easier because there's no crap to clean before paint.

2 years later calipers flaking
I was meticulous with prep, however I do alot of heavy braking (130-60) and such so I'm sure they get hotter than usual.
My profile pic shows them about 3 months after paint. Held up really well until recently.

Gentlemen thank you for your comments...
I have found that after having painted calipers for 2 years if nothing scratches them and they are kept clean, no problem
The silver on the bracket is just to make it look new. I dont like when 2 piece calipers are l painted all one color, it has a "fake" look to me. Although some might say this way looks "faker" but Im satisfied at least for now.
I'm feenin for some 20's one day...
Thank you sir it was fun, at least most of the time.
I'll post the paint its duplicolor.
No problem, I want 20's...
