I have unplugged my MAF becausethe cad wa jerking an not staying at idle and it ran fine. After like 2 weeks I have started to smell gas really bad inside the cr. Any idea what or could be?



I am leaving it unplugged until I do the fuel pump ecu bypass mod tomorrow.

by unplugging your maf you are letting more fuel go to your engine making it run rich. hence the smell of gas.

this is also why the car is "faster" with the maf unplugged.

Hopefully its not the actual fumes your smelling. You have to worry about that igniting more than the actual gas itself..

Didn't know sc400 people were cooler than sc300 people. Did you even try to plug back the maf sensor? Its there for a reason
