post pic of engine bay. turn up the boost on the stock turbos. or go for the drift motion 57 trim single turbo kit for the 1jz or the 60-1 kit. http://store.driftmotion.com/static/...imturbokit.php

No no no don't look at your block. There in an IMMEDIATE and OBVIOUS difference between the 2j and 1j as soon as you pop your hood. Pictures are worth 1000 words.
1jz:
2jz:
If you're still confused look at the spark plug covers
And guys, stop advising him to go single turbo. Even on a JDM 2j, BPU will get you about 360-370 to the wheels and will be a far less advanced project. I can assume you're not very familiar with the supra world and while I can't quite judge on your mechanical ability I will say that for an average weekend warrior a single turbo is quite an undertaking.
If you're going to road race or drift I suggest the following SIMPLE mods:
Boost controller first and foremost
Boost gauge at the same time, and keep it at 15psi MAX. Pump gas will support this
Some kind of intake- doesn't need to be anything fancy or crazy as you won't get huge gains, but you'll get some upgrade in response
Downpipe- this opens it up a lot
Exhaust- your pick on this, but almost anything will be better than stock
A decent BOV
A front mount intercooler
All these can be installed with hand tools, a buddy if you want the company, and afternoons or weekends. None of it will involve taking your car down for weeks on end. And you'll end up with a quick car that's fun as hell at the track
A SINGLE TURBO FOR THIS POWER GOAL IS BAD ADVICE

I'm sorry but a 60-1 compressor wheel is way bigger then a 3076r. Bigger equals longer to spin up. Plus it has a journal bearing center section.
A BB 3076R with the .63 housing and good tuning will respond much faster then the Dinosaur Garrett 60-1.
The HX35 isn't much better, since that and the 60-1 are old journal bearing CHRA's.
The 3076R is a single that has crazy response, easier routing then the twins, and the ability to make around 5 bills to the wheels.

Here is a 1jz equipped with a 3076r, .63 T3 hotside, and 264 cams.
I mean, look at that powerband!
You can't really argue. Almost stock spool, 500hp potential.
So, yeah..
