i took out my cluster today knowing that my cluster probably wouldnt light up all the way when i plugged it back in and i was right. my speedometer backlighting doesnt light up all the way anymore. its dead from 0mph to 40mph..... i took the cluster out to put in needles i just bought now i have a new problem!! ARGH!!!!!!!!
anyone know why this happens? i know its the middle of the 3 plugs that lights up the backlight and i know for a fact its in all the way.... so aggravating these lexus's!!!!!

might've just blown the bulbs? one of my 3rd brake light bulbs blew out after i rewired my speakers and 2 of the buttons on my climate control burnt out after undoing the neg battery several times while searching for an idle problem and resetting the ecu.
what needles did you buy?

^some non working ones haha which makes it even worse!
so now i gotta replace the bulbs!! great! kinda crazy that unplugging and plugging it back in would do it to the bulbs esp. since i disconnected the battery before i even put a screwdriver to my car.
also i went for a drive and more of the backlight went out now its from 0-100........ GAH! i saw it was brighter than the rest too... than bam it just turned off.

but i bought my LED's from the same site, been satisfied so far.
Before you do put your cluster back, you have to make sure all the bulbs have the right polarity or all of them will not turn on. Best way to test is with a 9v battery
