My Baby wont start
Went out to start her up this evening to take her for a quick spin to strech her legs. And BOOM she acts like she wants to start butshe wont turn over? Had to give battery a charge she been sitting all winter in the garage, so my first thought was altenator but once charge everything was fine so I'm thinking Fuel pump or starter? help

(SChema) I did not drain the fuel because at least weather permitting I would start her and pull her out warm up the engine take a drive to the store run some errands close to home. but the last month in terms of weather has been brutal here in the Northeast. But She is stored indoors last time I took her out was December right before we got hit with all this damn snow. Dont have rats, so dont think that's the problem.

Sorry, but when you say she won't turn over, do you mean that the starter will not rotate the engine (ie. turn it over), or that the engine just will not catch/start after cranking it with the starter for what should have been long enough for it to start. Those are two very different symptoms.

Start with what he said. A car only need 3 Things to Run. Spark, Air/Fuel mixture, and Timing. On a side note Really cold weather can Kill your ECU. It happen to me and the Ignition control part of my computer was dead. See if you can find someone to let you borrow a ECU. Plug it in and start it up. Good luck.

1)Your car will run if you have spark. Now that means you have no fuel.
2) if your car doesnt run then you have no spark. Check spark. go from there.
3) if your car has fuel then you should be able to smell it on the spark plugs.
4)check compresion. It's like $30 for a compression gague that screws into your spark plug holes( only screw them in hand tight, use no tools other than gague) compression needs to be over 140 psi.(generaly speaking. I've seem an ls400 with 225k with 190 to 210 psi)
Good LUck!
