thats jus caked up brake dust not rust...my wheels looked exactly the same n had this yellowish tint n i spent most of a day in the hot *** fl sun getting that **** off...i used mothers wheel cleaner(its in a red bottle)...let it sit for like 15-20 mins then went at it...it takes a while scrubbing but my stocks look like there brand new again...
that paint looks jus as bad as it did b4 without but to each his own..take sum pride in ur ride or pay some1 do it for u.
you did a good job on painting the rims silver the silver looks good what paint did you use? only advice would be to paint all four rims silver and add some more pics of the car and rims

No it was rust. I used two metal polishes first mothers, and then another industrial cleaner. That is what happens when the prior owner doesnt ever clean the wheels and lets that mess eat away at the rim.

Used rustoleum primer/etcher, then metallic wheel paint, then clear. Yes I will be painting all to the silver maybe next weekend. Will add pics once done.
