well if they gave u an incorrect diagnosis you have the right to bring it back there and at least have them spend the time u paid for --i would guess 147 dollars is i.5 hours or so---and have them try to diagnosie the problem again.

Looks like the Original heater control valve is not connected and there's that white disc thing that the hose is going into.

I don't know what's up with that. The big coolant line plugged into that should be plugged into the right side heater core connection at the firewall.

If your spark plugs were loose enough for water to run past them you would be able to hear the exhaust leak under the hood, you could probably see it too.

How long have you had this car, is it a recent purchase ?

I don't know what intercooler you have or how the pipes route, but is it possibly sucking up snow when you first start it?

what about the rubber seal that goes around the engine bay below the windshield wipers? pour a cup of water down your windshield and see if water drips anywhere near your spark plugs/ valve covers.

I just wanted to see how much history you had with the car. I vote for getting a professional leak down test, I just can't believe your getting clean water in the engine. Before you go chasing every crazy theory about where the water could be coming from I'd make sure your head gasket and head are good.

It's definitely in the cylinders and not just sitting in the spark plug tubes?

If you were to let the car run for an hour or so would it do it ? If you let it sit idling in your driveway would it run for an hour or so without dieing ? It would be interesting to see if after a long heat cycle and a complete cool down if there is water in there again.

yes you have to do a leak down test and get the car properly diagnosed---you have no other option here really--------take your car back to the dealer and demand something be done to figure the problem out-----the gave u a false diagnosis the first time and they just want u to go away---dont oblige them
