BTW - if you receive a "large" tax refund, then you are having too much withheld from your salary. It's not as if you receive some money you didn't already have.

Good man! The government seriously penalizes single men who are renters that make $50k-100k a year. Take my advice, save your money, buy a house, have a wife (or more depending on religion) and claim several deductions

Well I work a boat load of overtime and have many writeoffs. So its premature to assume it's your money as of yet. I live in Oregon and they are always coming up with new taxes for crap we dont need. So I would rather get money back. Sucks you spent your money already
